This got me thinking about how personal histories are curated. Also, your summary of The Wife's Tale reminds me of the documentary I watched recently about Nigeria's history, albeit a heart-sinking one, "Journey of an African Colony."
Indeed... S and I watched that too and it only helped to cement the sense that Nigeria the country was hamstrung intentionally from its very start. Doesn't help that at every opportunity to change our trajectory as a Nation we have opted to save ourselves rather than look to the greater good... Hopefully, the #EndSARS protests are the start of something bigger :)
